Beth my New Hampshire chicken 🐓 is perched ( and asleep) 😴 on the rim of a water bowl. I’m impressed she hasn’t tipped it over. They have a fan out there to keep them cool. Chickens do not like the heat.
We have always called Chloe by Chloenonobadkitty because she likes to chew on electrical cords. Her new Knick name is Potatopotato because like this she looks like a baked potato with cheese and sour cream 😉

@iamlauriew.bsky.social in the winter I hung a bird feeder here. Summer gets the wind chime you gave me when Penny passed away. The sunflowers 🌻 were planted by the birds. They did a good job. 🌈 💔
In all my years of crocheting I’ve never had a yarn bleed onto my hands. And no I did not have on any hand lotion. And from a well known brand like Caron ? Very disappointed. I’ll have to wash it a couple of times, by itself, before I donate it to Project Linus.

90° + degrees yesterday so the chickens got frozen leftover cranberry sauce. And lots of shade.
A friend and a relative both lost dogs in the last couple of days. Reminded me I needed to put Penny, Oscar and Smokey’s ashes in the ground. I painted their marker that @iamlauriew.bsky.social gave me. 🥺💔🥺💔

It finally rained so I pulled up a bunch of crab grass and gave it to the chickens.
