Before 2018 it was legal in all 50 states. Only 17 have banned it outright since. Three still set no minimum age at all: California, New Mexico, Mississippi. Last week a bill landed in Congress to help change that. H.R. 9758 and S. 5060. No hearing scheduled yet. #ChildMarriagePreventionAct

Here's the whole quilt as it hangs in my sewing room 😁 My favorite fabric butterfly ;)

My interpretation of the "Alaska" quilt pattern by "Laundry Basket Quilts". All fabrics from my stash. I've had the pattern for several years now so I'm pretty stoked that I finally put it together 😁

English Paper Piecing quilt project in progress, based on the Somerset Garden pattern. Six large hexagon-based floral and geometric motifs in purples, greens, aquas, and blues are arranged around a central star. The work is laid out on a tan carpet, with each piece made from many tiny hexagons.

I'm only doing 4 blocks a month on this "Alaska Pattern" but I tossed the ones that are done on the wall for a look... #quiltsky

Kaleidescope quilt blocks on a design wall. The quilt is obviously unfinished as there are blank spaces where future quilt blocks should go. The quilter is following the Alaska pattern by Laundry Basket Quilts and the colors are shades of brown from light to very dark.
