As the fight for democracy goes inward and autocracies gloat, the number of those of us who still demand democracy promotion abroad continues to dwindle… To one. To the last neoconservative.
So this is how it feels to be @radiofreetom.bsky.social. Based on these numbers, odds are if you’re reading this, I am *very* *disappointed* in you.
Challenge accepted. I’ll bet those kids, unless raised in a democracy, will see their US citizenship as a ticket to freedom and a better life. Those who end up in America will believe in it and make it better. As for those who don’t, they’ll sure do less harm to America than Stephen Miller has.
I grew up in what they used to call a “mixed neighborhood” (Catholic and Jewish). This clown has no idea what the suburbs or cities in America really are. But he has a point about values - I don’t want this idiot anywhere near my neighborhood.
There was a time when The New York Times was a respectable newspaper. This is not that time. Or as @dicknixon.bsky.social would say: My God.
