Best interview experience I’ve done this year has to be GitLab. I’ve actually enjoyed the technical portion because they give you a PR that you’re to review, then you go and implement your suggestions with amother developer. It gives a ton of opportunity to express yourself as an engineer.

What I really liked about it is that I can say "Hey this change you're making here isn't actually in the requirements, what do you think about removing this change and we can circle back to it?" or stuff like "You added database migrations in this PR, but I think we should keep these in their own PR for reasons x, y, z "

And like just being able to provide resources, huge. There's an issue with some tests in my problem, but among other things, the author of the PR isn't using Timecop or some way to freeze time, so not only can I say "Hey this is your problem", but I can also just link a Go Rails video that walks through things in a more illustrative way too.

Which is all stuff i'd actually do in my day-to-day lol
