I had no intentions when doing this. I just wanted to play in the mud with my new boots. And yet there is my presence, hidden somewhere as mundane as a patch of dirt.

Over this past winter, since getting my new rain boots, I would stand in the mud in our courtyard. In the same spot, just outside the door, waiting for my dog to do her thing. Squishing it under my feet exactly where my steps from the previous day were, just to see how the mud reacted.

My apartment is owned by Morgan Properties. Mitchell Morgan is a multi-millionaire. I guarantee my apartment building infested with mice and flies with O building security and where I've witnessed mushrooms growing in the hallways was not getting top of the line care. When moving in my dryer was from the 70s and it left my clothes smelling burnt. They left holes in my ceiling when replacing the fixtures. I cant shut the water off on my toilet. The cabinet under my kitchen sink has a massive hole in the back that they just blocked with a piece of drywall and stuffed a towel around the sink pipe. I'm just the child of a handyman and I could do better repairs. But they charge us so goddamn much we can't afford to move out let alone save for a house.
