It's at least the 2nd time a NYTimes writer has called Troy Jackson a "lumberjack" www.nytimes.com/2026/07/27/u.... Today it was Jess Bidgood. Paul Bunyan was a lumberjack. Troy Jackson is a logger, not a mythic character out of folktales and children's books - national media, please take note!

In his NYT op-ed, @mattyglesias.bsky.social calls Maine's Troy Jackson a "lumberjack." Come on, Maine's not a children's book and Jackson isn't a figure out of a Monty Python ditty (youtu.be/B6mzobwTYyo?...), he's a LOGGER

The NY Times, in its endless drive to tell me how to run my life in all of its aspects, has now told me how to make HOT DOGS. No, NYTimes. No. I do not need directions for making hot dogs.

I'm sure it feels that way, NYTimes White House reporter, but it's actually 6.5 months, a bit more than "a handful," until the midterms. But this confirms my theory that right now, almost every assertion in a national political story ends with "....and its effect on the midterms"
