i dumped a sorry-looking pansy plant on top of the water retention moss in my big fig's pot and after much watering and several melodramatic wilting sessions it is flowering!

Alliaria petiolata! they're a woodland creature but you can find them in parks and appropriately shady verges.

love the way container gardening has me filling up my my phone with endless slightly different shots of small green blobs coming out of the dirt. They're growing!! they grow!

i entirely winged this cake and fuck me it's gorgeous. adding a tablespoon of (uk, sweet) mincemeat truly elevated it. as did accidentally doubling the amount of spice
