Where are all the cars? Look at this empty stretch of Archer, right between major intersections --California and Western. Don't see why they need all those lanes for cars on Archer.

Look at how the water close to the western shores of Lake Michigan is 10 degrees colder, thanks to sustained westerly winds pulling in deeper colder water up to the shore. * I infer this from experience & observation, I don't actually have any training/formal education so I could be wrong!

The river towns at the end of the Metra lines have everything: good pizza & coffee, delicious gorditas (Don Angel), a Dr Who-themed cafe, and beer in riverside breweries. And you can bike between 4 of them on an almost completely paved & off-road trail along the river.

PSA for Chicagostani folks: you can get Uber flavored cookies at Seafood City (Elston & Foster) called lengua de gato that have the size and shape of cat tongues and even a slightly gritty texture from sugar crystals. They are delicious.

1. Get a Metra monthly pass, see the world (around Chicago). 2. Use the weather radar map to figure out I could take the train south and ride east then north through Indiana back into the city, avoiding the big rain storm. 3. Wonder if Kilroy is turning over in his grave.
