In the early 2000's a specific plot made it into a number of adult cartoons, where a relatively mild-mannered character ends up rescuing a sex worker from an abusive pimp. Looking for any examples of this genre and any insights into where this genre started.

That's ok, you don't have to embarrass yourself by agreeing with me, I've found the statistic. A Greek study from 2004 found that 87.37% of adults presenting at ERs between October and March had either covid or flu. Covid increased hospital capacity by a little over one third.
