Ugh, just noticed all this is enabled by default in GoFundMe fundraisers, buried in the fundraiser settings. Gross. Turned those off.

Has Trump's previous 48 hour deadline expired, or when is it due to expire? Did he follow through with his threat? I see he's now given 'until Tuesday' - is that a deadline extension? Thanks

Today is not the first time in this war US President Donald Trump has issued Iran an ultimatum to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

If you cast your mind back to March 22, the president gave a 48-hour deadline, under threat of destroying Iran's power plants if it did not comply.

A day later, he extended that for five days, citing "productive talks" with the Islamic Republic— something Iran denied was occurring.

Pakistan did deliver a 15-point ceasefire plan to Iran on March 24, but the Islamic Republic knocked it back.

On March 26, Trump said Iran was "desperate" to make a ceasefire deal and again extended the deadline to open the strait, this time to April 6.

And that brings us to Trump's Easter Sunday post, where he pushed that date back another day to April 7.
