My mother wrote a book putting my young child in the cabin where dad tried to kill me. This is the review Amazon keeps taking down from this book listing: www.amazon.com/Granny-Annie... I am asking the internet to read my review instead of the sycophantic reviews there now. #signalboost

This book uses my daughter's likeness. She is visiting Granny Annie at the cabin in Northport, MI that Anne used to own. Her husband Walter took me there after I was diagnosed with autism when I was roughly the same age as my daughter is at time of publication. Walter was arrested in Grayling, Michigan that weekend. He had driven me, while very drunk, for 80 miles.

In that cabin, I begged to go to school the next day so I would not be "The Genetic Curse." That's why he drunkenly got in the car. Anne picked me up from the Grayling police station.

You can note this book doesn't depict me, just my daughter who was underage at the time of publication. My wife and I were not asked for permission for her likeness to be used. Minnesota's 2025 child media law may be applicable here.

For those confused:

On roughly the 40th anniversary of my father's arrest, my mother published a book depicting my child at the cabin my life was threatened at ~40 years prior. The cabin I begged for my life at. She has sent multiple copies of this book to me, unsolicited. I do not appear in the book.

Every time Anne yelled at me that she brought me into this world and she could take me out, she did so with the weight of that event crushing those words into me.

As for the story: It's a children's book where the children have no autonomy or agency as they are ordered around by Granny Annie. That seems true to real life: I had no agency or choice but to mask neurotypical because if I didn't...who knew what would happen?

I've included a photo of the multiple copies Anne has sent to me, unsolicited. Both copies have inscriptions in her handwriting admitting the little girl is my daughter.

I was told “You don’t have to live here.”

I was told “You can’t ask for help anymore.”

I was told “I will not attend your daughter’s birthday” because I hadn’t apologized for your feelings.

I was punished in the will.

Why do you publish my child’s likeness now, in the place I had to beg for my life?
