Revisiting an old favorite. I’ve loved Bess Armstrong since seeing the proshot of the Broadway revival of Barefoot in the Park that my mom videotaped off HBO in the mid-80s.

I thought this rosebush was done for. Imagine my surprise (and delight) to see that there’s new growth. Having been in a depressive state since the fall that finally feels like it’s dissipating, the symbolism and timing are not lost on me.
Time to revisit a much-beloved favorite. I love Truvy, but the older I get, the more I understand Ouiser through and through.
