Still have no clue on how to get the tension right for this overlock stitch though to make it look neater. Very hard to not add too much tension and force the edges to curl up. Might try a different method of edge treatment or another overlock stitch.

Since I'm hand sewing everything atm, I figured it'd be a good idea to work on practicing/improving the quality of my stitches. Honestly, hand sewing is pretty relaxing and meditative in the way it requires you to focus your attention on the task. 🐾

A couple little design updates I wanna make after trying on the last prototype. I need to add a cut/dart at the wrist (like you'll see on pretty much every glove that's got a wrist strap for tightening it). And then for the inner glove, I think I want some stuffed pockets for the top half of it in>>

Prototype V.0.1 was a lot more successful! Although the wrist could still use a bit more allowance, my hand sewing could use some better consistency, and the two darts at the front should be sewn up next time... but it's wearable and that's an improvement. 🐶 I ended up using blender to help out >>

I wasn't liking the direction the design process was heading, it seemed overly complex with many parts that would need to be cut/sewn together, so I went back and re-examined my assumptions. I was worried about there being an air pocket if I went with the shell + zipper approach, which was the >>>

inside the air pocket formed between the two connected pieces, and also making sure that there's no chafing/discomfort caused by the zippers I think I might've thought up a solution though? Just add a second zipper along an orthogonal axis! have the bottom zipper run along underneath the padding>>

I added an inch, thinking it'd give me an extra half inch of allowance when it was sewn up with the stitches starting a quarter inch into the fabric. But by doing so, because the stitches start a quarter inch in, that doesn't equate to half an inch of extra fabric, but the whole inch being used up.

Well, prototype V.0 was a failure. Couldn't even fit my hand in, didn't leave enough allowance at the wrist. First time sewing (by hand, I don't own a machine) so I have no clue how to properly draft patterns, but that's what design iteration is for. 🐕‍🦺🐾

I can almost picture how I'd go about trying to make them... (minus the various patterns that would need to be made) Only issue would be the pawprint on the underside of the mittens since that sort of design would be better suited to printing. It likely wouldn't look as nice hand-stitched in.

Made with this sorta material for the outside (with a softer comfy interior lining) :3 Mittens that'll squeak and slide against your soaked squishy diapers without an ounce of friction. ✨💙

Option 2 for a business would be making cute puppyish bulky mittens with a stuffed palm, preferably out of some sleek shiny waterproof material. There's never enough cute bondage gear. 🙂‍↕️

Like yeah, the patterned versions of adult briefs I've seen do an alright job of leaning more towards a toddlerish/"training pants" coded design, but I want something more middlespace coded. I wanna be able to look at my butt in the mirror and see a big dorky print on the seat, like these!

Tbh I don't really care about socks very much, but prints on the underside of socks that puppies are forced to see between each kiss they plant on their owner's soles... Those can be really hot and great for setting the mood. 😵‍💫 Like, just told to "worship" while facing these two different prints.

While I was searching for drawings of my character earlier I stumbled upon this old sketch. 🥴💞 Definitely how some of you runts ought to be treated.

Just two dumb obedient poopypants puppies sprawled out on the floor eagerly pressing our snouts into each other's leak guards. Huffing, panting, and wagging our tails as we both sink deeper and deeper into blissful worship. 🐕‍🦺🌀💦 Proper puppy attire and behavior during their playdate:

My main suggestions would be to bulk up the padding a bit more, as well as adding an additional loop cut around the transition to the leg hole area, just to prevent the subdivision modifier from rounding it out too much. And also create some creases/folds around the tension points at the tapes. 🐶🐾

In case you were curious what that looks like, it's basically just multiple layers like this: Tracing over perfect circle guides, drawing 3 circles overlapping in one continuous stroke, while aiming for smoothness & uniformity. It's a very meditative practice that easily captures your focus.

Figured it might be fun trying to draw with my left hand last night while my other arm is out of commission atm. It's great for making you feel like a toddler with zero fine motor control, lol. Very difficult to draw when you can't make a circle.

Anyways, here's where my benchmarks are currently at. I haven't done the Voltaic benchmarks in forever, right now I'm currently working to improve in the new Season 2 Viscose benchmarks and the TSK Extra smoothness benchmarks. 🐶🐾

Although for that piece in particular, I was just using my sketch brush for the line art, so the lines are lighter in opacity and have a bit more texture to them. (The original version of the piece was just a blank-faced character with the word "YOU" written on it, so that's why there's no eyes. 🐶)
