Some more wonderful post box toppers from the Congleton Crochet Crew that I’ve come across recently. I’ve no idea how difficult these are to make but the creativity is to be admired all the same. 👏
Watching the Women’s FA cup final between Brighton and Man City and noticed some rather faint wording in the grass that looks like advertising for a gambling company. I appreciate there is often advertising around the pitch etc. but this seems almost subliminal and rather insidious. 😒
Whatever you say Big Brother/mum! 😒 *Turns music up to 100% whilst giving the two finger salute to the phone*
The Congleton Crochet peeps have been busy getting a couple of the local post boxes ready for spring 🐥 🐣 🌼 🐰 🐑 🐝
After 3 months of games the Fury of Dracula community tournament is about to start. 🧛♂️ For some intense hide and seek turn based strategy check it out live at 3pm GMT here: www.twitch.tv/scotsword
After the about 30 years I’ve finally managed to play through and complete Command & Conquer*. I last played this in my teens but it was just the demo that my friend had and I spent hours building a large Orca army to take out a v. small base. Fun times! * as the GDI, NOD will be for another day!
At Pride Park stadium ready to watch the Lionesses against Australia! 🏴 v 🇦🇺 #comeonengland
I was very pleased to find these recently to add to my personal development collection. 😊 In a digitally distributed world, it’s not very common for a game to be produced physically anymore, sadly, and as such I feel like we’ve lost a tangible reminder of the effort involved and accomplishment. 😞
Tonight’s film which is clearly very budget but actually rather entertaining. ⚔️
Managed to finally get some tickets to go watch the Women’s England football match against Australia with the kids, but the process was rather frustrating when it wouldn’t show a delivery method and yet needed that to progress !? 😫
What poster did you have hanging in your room? This fabulous poster covered up a hole I punched in a cupboard door in my teens (I can’t remember why, I was clearly angry!) that I didn’t want my folks to know about. It did it’s job for years until we had to remove the door to decorate the room! 😅
Found a rare WHSmith that hasn’t yet been bastardised with the TGJones rebrand.
Watching the epic that is Ran on its 40th anniversary at the Quad cinema as part their Satori Screen showing www.derbyquad.co.uk/events/ran/
Disney’s Atlantis came out 24 years ago today on the PS1. 🎉 This was my first project as a ‘professional’ games developer at Eurocom back in the early 2000’s, where I was lucky enough to be taken on for a year as part of my University degree course. Fun times! 🕹️
Trekked out to Anchor Church in Derbyshire this afternoon which was really just a hermitage but interesting to look around none the less. Lots of graffiti as one would expect.
It’s been 19 years since Ice Age 2 The Meltdown video game went gold and came out just in time for the eponymous film release. 🧊 🌰 🐿️ 🦥 🦣 🐅 It was certainly one of the most fun titles I have had the privilege to work on. 🙏
