That map is an AQI map not a fire map and it's not even from this year. The smoke impacting the eastern US does originate from wildfires in Canada. There are smaller areas of poor AQI from fires in the west US. It's true GOP misinfo is bad but you don't have to create your own

That's awesome! I've been doing some photogrammetry again recently, trying out a new capture method I'm also bummed in missed the walk but glad everyone looks like they had fun, I'll definitely have to go to a future one!

It was definitely strongly felt in Cologne! It is fairly typical to attribute heart attacks as quake deaths, like the only fatality in the Nisqually quake. So it's not theoretically impossible this guy died the same way but given the lack of evidence for that I'm doubtful.
