Took my nephew to see Toy Story 5 and when I told him I saw Toy Story 3 in theaters he said “dang you’re old!” Couldn’t bear to tell him that I saw the first 2 in theaters as well 😭
Now reading this book by Dr. Selwyn Rogers, a respected trauma surgeon who helped expand access to trauma care in the south side of Chicago and pioneered treating gun violence as a public health crisis rather than a criminal justice issue. #BlackBookSky
This week I’m reading “I Deliver Parcels in Beijing” by Hu Anyan. I found it on the staff picks display at Charis Books in Decatur and learned that it’s a highly praised memoir and critique about the contemporary labor system and its dehumanization of the working class.
