A piece of "flong", essentially a papier-mâché mold used to cast a metal printing plate for a comic for a newspaper. This one is for the May 22, '77 Sunday "Peanuts" strip, and would have been used to print the black line art for the strip (there would have been others to print the colors.) #flong

Well, this was the final number when I turned it in as the trade-in for a 2026 Accord Hybrid today. 296,132 miles over the last 12 years, which I would have hit a lot faster without 2 years of work-from-home in there. New one started at 8 miles.

The herring are running, which means that the Osprey are back and hunting at the Wareham herring run. They were mostly fishing away from the accessible part of the river, but a few ventured into camera range, like this bird with its successful catch. #photography #birds #wildlife
