Well, no. That would be the wildfire smoke influence. I've encountered once or twice (or more) in my lifetime.
There were so many really fantastic movies released when I was 18, but this one was in my top 3. (scene from Tommy)
Late evening on the deck. After a day in the 90s, at least it’s cooling down nicely. #viewfromthedeck
It's fireweed time, and a few years ago I notice fireweed growing up between the boards of our lower deck. We really need to replace that lower deck, but I just can't because of the fireweed that continues to spread through the deck and into the backyard.
We were blessed with the aurora borealis last Friday and I was able to photograph it for 2 hours before my dang phone died. :)
Look at the dancing light! It was amazing! (I'm about 3/4 of the way done with these pics.) #auroraborealis #viewfromthemeadow
I am working through all the photos I took of the aurora last night, and I really love this one. It highlights the big dipper so well. #auroraborealis #bigdipper #viewfromthemeadow
I cannot agree enough, Nana! As a fellow elder I cannot stress enough that all of you are perfect the way you are & the noise of the world you let it isn't important. YOU are enough, & honestly what others may think of you simply does not matter. Mantras that have served me well these many decades:
Waning gibbous moon, 100% illuminated (she's a BRIGHT one tonight!). #moon #viewfromthedeck
Still have at least one Bullock's oriole hanging around. #bullocksoriole #viewfromthedeck
I cannot draw at all, but I can take decent photos and muck about with them. I took this of one of our black iris in 2022; I call it "Edward's Heart." #DrawEdTeach
It's overcast here, so no moon picture tonight. But I still got mo... pictures for you. We have a mama and baby hanging in the meadow right now, and they wandered through the yard tonight. #moose #viewfromthedeck
My big zoom lens broke (focus parts wore out) and could not be fixed (it was too old). So I searched and found the same lens (refurbished, with working focus parts) to replace it (a new lens would have meant a new camera and I don't have $8000+ laying around to play with). New lens is WONDERFUL!
