Finishing up Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson...As a Black woman who was a Black girl, whose youngest sister is a teenager...this book hits. Too often Black girls are subject to adultification...never really treated as children--called fast for existing...this is a book!
This episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, taught me more than I knew. Most of Buffy's "friends," were trash. 🤷🏾♀️
It's been a while since I read a book cover to cover in a just a few hours. But, Nic Stone's , Dear Manny, was impossible for me to put down. It was similar when I read the first two books: Dear Martin and Dear Justyce. I am not surprised this one took my breath away 🌸🌸🌸
When I read The Disordered Cosmos, it pulled me back to the little girl who loved science and space; while still holding me in place as the woman who embraces Black feminism. @chanda.blacksky.app is beyond brilliant. I'm so looking forward to The Edge of Space-Time ✨️✨️

A year ago today, Say Her Name, was released to the world. So much has changed since then. But for a moment, I'm going to hold onto the joy I felt then🌸🌸🌸 'Just as our lives are not fixed or static, our theory must remain fluid, open, and responsive to new information.' ~ bell hooks🌸🌸🌸

My dad died on December 24th 2025. Tomorrow is my 39th birthday. This was not how I imagined the start of 2026. I'm definitely experiencing grief in reality 😢😢😢
