Back in the days when Bush II was President due to shady vote tallys (Florida & SC) I'd tell people "See that bush over there? I think of it as a harmless bush, and I think it's okay to have harmless bushes in your life." Now I pause and shake my head before continuing "This POTUS is so much worse."
I was today years old when I realized if the batter is too watery in a mug cake it overflows the cup and cooks to the outside like lava. Still tasty, but not quite as appealing.
I know that Switzerland is a long shot, but I lived there and I like the place. That trumps knowing Messi can't be beat in my rooting heirarchy. That even trumps knowing without Argentina "The World Cup" is down to "The Europe Cup". I want to see the Vikings row again, so I hope they beat England.
This is the kind of topic where I like to bring up the Third Amendment. That one says "They can only quarter soldiers in your home in times of war." Please notice there is a boatload of soldiers on this New Jersey quarter. Does it take a conspiracy theorist to think about a small change revolution?
I'm very happy with this soup. Homegrown collards. Homegrown tomato. Neil (the guy from four plots over in the community garden) gave me the squash. He really has way too many. So delicious! Tastes like potato. The rest is from the pantry and fridge. Tian's custom spice blend. Yumm!
Funnest times I ever had were riding a tandem with Virginia. She liked matching kits so we did that many times.
Just enjoyed a lot of the Obama Center Opening Ceremony. I gotta say, Obama gives me a much stronger feeling that "We're all in this together!" than the current POTUS. Thank you blue sky for the link that I clicked on to join in!
I'm shocked that they are covering up the fact that illegal name is still on the building. It's 2AM and it was supposed to be gone at midnight!
These were the greens in my supper tonight. I harvested them this afternoon. They never touched a plastic bag or hung out in refridgeration. Worked out to be ten ounces of stems+ and ten ounces of good leafyness to cook with my rice and zucchini. Very happy with this bowl of food!
This is the first local take on California's Governor's race. Please notice that Butch Ware has more than 237 votes. To get them he had to get all those people to to check the nobody box and write in his name. The people below him on the list couldn't even get that many people to check their bubble.
This is the power mix for California today. Looking at it I found that solar mainly displaces imported power, battery power, hydro power, and gas power. I suppose those are the easiest to turn on and off. Hope it's solar going into those batteries!
I only saw it once, back when it first came out. After it faded from the movie theaters the movie tie in shop at the mall had a sale on Starship Troopers bugs. Took one to AOL and had fun showing my coworkers "This bug I'm working on!" I especially liked the "New scale for adventure!" on the back.
I saw this car so many years ago! Still one of my favorite plate sightings.
Today's edition. Still cooling. Want me to post the ingredients and method?
I had a plan but my turn by turn directions melted like a watercolor in the rain.
Swiss Miss mug cake. In coffee mug mix one enevelope Swiss Miss (the kind you mix with hot water), three oz. (ish) flour, half teaspoon baking powder, two tablespoons vegetable oil. Add three tablestpoons of water and then mix. Add water until it's the consitancy of cake batter. Microwave for 2 min.
Cracks me up how simple the stripes of the various tiers of gas prices are. Curious that DC and IL are the only eastern states that have high (red) gas prices.
The pretty flowers I had on my blueberry bush are giving way to blueberries.
I saw that from Moffett Field. Went down there to share the experience with friends. It was awesome.
