I’ve always thought this is why the label for Unlitro reads like a war chant.
Ooo that’s a good question. There are some chapters that follow the Special Containment Procedures (SPC) formatting that I think, aesthetically, add a lot to the mystique. Once the narrative really starts to pick up with the characters I think 80% of the chapters would flow audio wise. Examples:
Every time we find a stink bug in our house we name them Stanley and talk about them like they are part of the family. If we ever find them dead we build a little pyre of matches and have a tiny funeral.
Oh man I forgot about ripping… what a time to be alive. All mine were impressively synced to Apple Music at some point—even local, personal tracks. Helpful. I have become a “vinyl guy” and your concerns are completely valid but I’d still say it’s worth it. Recent crate digging haul:
Smear = blend, in the fancy way. Here’s a pre-blend lay down before you move the charcoal around to make volume. It feels like sculpting after a while. Just gotta be used to smushing your piece knowing it’ll be better as you layer and clean.
You might enjoy suminagashi too. You put ink on the surface of water through brushes, blows, picks, and whatever. Then take a one time “print” of it. Never to be duplicated. Traditionally black and white but you can use colored inks as well. I used to use loud music to vibrate the water tray
Having physical copies of The Onion around the house brings little moments of joy long after reading the latest issue. Had to do an emergency repotting for a rubber plant that took a turn for the worse. My partner and I kept chuckling as we spread out the ads and articles. @bencollins.bsky.social
RIP. I did the same thing last summer. Old 92’ Harley that I rode way beyond its proper uses in front. Brand new Moto Guzzi in the back, not exactly dual but takes to road, gravel, highways, and … less temperamental all around.
Rode upstate and the elevation of the Poconos already has fall leaves. All green down here but just a few hours away they’re turning.
I got a pair of these 8 years ago before a long trip. Laces optional, strong elastic so you can slip them on but no wiggle or looseness. Bought 4 pair when I got home. Frye.
Now it seems Iris is slowly taking over the household. Soon it’ll be easier to just label what’s for humans.
Now a pattern is emerging in cat labeling. Iris—the cat that lives with us—is notorious for stealing nibbles and we usually quarantine the impacted food to mix with her food. I am sure this is reinforcing bad behavior but I don’t want to toss food she’s clearly into.
We have this awkward 1/2 bath in the middle of the house we don’t use—it’s like a “who wants to hear me pee” showcase—so we put the cat box in there. Before a big party last summer I put this sign on it so folks would know what’s what. It has started an evolving thread of humorous behavior. 1/n
Aw man when you do a shit job of it it makes you think ”should I be the one healing these wounds?”. JK I love it too but thought it funny how clumsy my good intentions turned out.
