Bat 61: Bechstein's bat (Myotis bechsteinii), who relies on ancient mature forests in England and Wales. Destruction of these forests has made this once-common bat rare. www.bats.org.uk/about-bats/w...

A greyish bat flying under a tree with mouth open to echolocate. It has light fur on its body, darker wings, and reddish mouth, arms, legs, toes, and tail (which is attached to the wing membrane). The bat's ears are moderately long and pointy. Behind, not well illuminated, is either another bat of the same type or a superimposed earlier image of the same exact bat.

Bat [picture] 58: Common tent-making bats (Uroderma bilobatum).

Six bats roosting together in their leaf tent. The bats are brown with white stripes running from their noses to their ears, both over and under their eyes. Their ears are small, pointed at the tip, and yellow at the edges. Their eyes are big, round, and very dark brown.

Bat 56: Townsend's big-eared bat (Corynorhinus townsendii).

A bat with very long pointy ears, a rounded mouth, smallish dark eyes, medium brown fluffy fur, and dark brown wings folded as the bat hangs on some wood. The bat almost seems to be smiling at the camera.

Bat 55: One of my favorite shirts.

Bat 52: Stoliczka's trident bat (Aselliscus stoliczkanus).

Head-on photo of a bat with a round face, small ears, dull brownish fur, and a big fancy nose. Its nose has three protrusions in a row, like the ends of a trident pointed toward the camera. The bat has its mouth open in what almost resembles a confused expression, and the fur on its lip looks like a sparse mustache. Its eyes are hidden by its nose and fur.
