I visited Lindsay Graham’s office in DC last year to discuss research funding. I was highly impressed with the professionalism of his staff. Lindsay has done some good work in South Carolina, which I hope, far outweighs the damage. I’m sending prayers for Lindsay and his loved ones.
Enthralled would be the word I’d use to describe how I felt of looking up into the eyes of George Washington thanks to Charles Wilson Peale. Just stunning.
I am so proud to be an American and still believe this country’s sun is rising. We have a long way to go. Someday we will see people for their character and nothing else. Here’s to the next 250 years and what opportunities it has to offer.
Lightening bugs are some of the coolest things on the face of the planet. Who else can get their butt to light up and signal/communicate to others?

My sunflowers have yet to bloom and they’re already taller than my husband (he’s 6’6).
They said 'stand tall,' so I did my best! But, seriously, seeing the “Embracing Peace statue” in San Diego, California was a great experience. Feeling small gives me a sense of peace and it’s hard to not feel small next to this 25-foot-tall bronze piece by artist Seward Johnson.
So many amazing undergrads. This one is tissue sectioning. These sections will go on slides and be stained for visualization. She’s amazing.
