All educator preparation programs in Texas-at public and private schools-have to sign off on this form. This language comes from SB3, the 2021 Texas law that was the first anti-woke/DEI/CRT law aimed at schools. I cannot talk about the political implications of ed law/policy in my classes now.

Maynard: New rule text. Let’s charter schools pick the grade levels. He named Valor and Great Hearts. P-D: why make an exception for charters. Accountability and testing, but these are the TEKS. Maynard: Charters are models of innovation. TEKS, statutory language for charters is different.

#embroidery #quilting #knitting I make things with my hands when late-stage capitalism is too much. Haven’t done embroidery in decades and it was wonderful to make a sampler. Definitely got better as it went on.
