Pretty wild to still be seeing these takes, given how rapidly software engineering (my career) is changing due to LLMs. IDK how to disagree with people who believe this now, but I think the days in which you can make this argument in good faith are quickly running out.

Bluesky Skeet reply in which someone is saying “It's also wild to be in 2026 saying "Al is inevitable" at this point. If you do even a cursory glance at what's happening in Al it's a dumpster fire.
It's the least inevitable thing around.”

One of my design pet peeves is skinny ass icons. I don’t like reading them visually. Am I old or am I right?

I remain befuddled by this sentiment. The tech IS incredible, and IS making an immense positive impact. Yet discourse on the left portrays all of "AI" as an evil, poisonous monolith, solely responsible for all pre-existing problems its existence exacerbates. We sound like reactionary losers!
