I guarantee listening to this video of my new guide dog will make you laugh...and who doesn't need a laugh right about now? Description: A toasted yellow lab sleeps on her side, snoring. Her jowls flap in the breeze. She jerks her head up and gives me epic side eye as I laugh, then flops back down.
I'm digging out from the first significant snowfall of the year, and am reminded that cleared walkways are essential forms of access. Please shovel the full width of your sidewalk so folks using wheelchairs or white canes are able to navigate them. Also a reminder: FUCK ICE.
If you are in the Finger Lakes, please come join us tomorrow at 1 p.m. outside the Ontario County Courthouse in Canandaigua to celebrate the power of bodily autonomy and remind Gov. Hochul that New Yorkers want our rights to self-determination protected. #OurBodiesOurChoice #ProtectBodilyAutonomy
The government is shut down and people are going hungry. If you are looking for a way to bring your community together to document the impacts of Republican funding priorities, I encourage you to reproduce FLX Beacon's Chain Reaction Project in your community. 1/
Yep. Also, I'm sick of not calling what he is funding what it is. Changed it from "the proposal is part of a broader effort to cut spending in order to pay for President Trump's new tax cuts and other priorities" to "...in order to pay for...new tax cuts for billionaires and weekend golf games..."
While far from his most valuable service, this photo of us standing side by side, me covered in sweat and wearing running shorts, a t-shirt, and a running jacket, holding onto a running trophy w/ him dressed in everyday jeans and a button down shirt w/ sunglasses, feels an apt way to remember him.
Not at great photo, but I'm fortunate to have a good relationship with some chickadees. They give me so much hope. Unfortuantely, they've been less into my hand feeding this year. This photo was from last summer.
