Well, this place had one of his bits.

Gwynedd, Cymru, 989 AD.

On the edge of an ancient wood, near the village of Coedwig, is the priory of St Teilo. Two weeks ago, it suffered an act of profound sacrilege when it was robbed by one of its own. Brother Tobias has taken the priory’s most sacred item, a relic of the beloved Welsh Saint Teilo, and snuck away into the night.
Since the young monk vanished, the area has been plagued by a series of unnatural events. Cattle have vanished, shadowy figures have been seen lurking in the nearby woods, and a sinister, rhythmic tapping can be heard echoing throughout the valley. The villagers whisper that the noise is the Devil tallying the bones of the sinners he has claimed.

But what is the real reason for the sinister noise that echoes through the valley? Where are the village cattle being taken? And what sinister forces are gathering in the shadows of the ancient wood?

That’s the boyo. Patron saint of fruit trees, horses and Cardiff. This is a dark ages scenario set in wales around a priory that has… well… spoilers. Been working on a few bits for it.

I ordered a light box earlier in the week to help out with my sketching. I’ve been giving it a whirl with this sketch for the cover of a Call of Cthulhu scenario I’m working on. I like to do illustrations as I’m writing as it helps me think about scenes visually.
