Thank you!!! 💛 I have a real soft spot for it too, it was a redraw of a piece I did in high-school (literally lol, I remember drawing it in class!), circa 2019!
I loooove the variety in artists and writers, too! Wonderful to see classic Sponge alumni contributing to the art and stories, and just as wonderful to see other "random" artists lending their hand, too. I had no idea Al Jaffee Sponge was something I needed! But I did!
Been reading the Sponge comics and they are pure joy incarnate. Yet another Thing in my life to make me go "WHY DIDN'T I FIND THESE SOONER!?"
The Patrick Star Show turns 5 today!! A year for each Star (and each vertice of a starfish!) I'm beyond grateful to work with such an absurdly talented crew who prove that there's a method to madness. Our show is the unadulterated, pure, wholesale definition of fun, and I'm so lucky to be a part.
Warm-up for a larger piece, but if you want the closest thing you'll ever find to literal eye candy then you GOTTA check out Candy Caries
I haven't been able to stop thinking about how cute and charming this background painting is
I'm not sure about having a friend move, but you can have the island! If you go into the cheats manager and then into the AR Codes, you can add this code to have Kapp'n appear at the dock. I forget if there are any extra steps to it since it's been a little while but it works for me!
In related news, water is wet, but the voice acting in this show is just so great
Ah that's awesome!! The DS was my first one and subsequently launched my lifetime love of the franchise, haha! I just love the GC/DS games the most, the dialogue is SO funny and brutal. I've been hoarding screenshots of my villagers bullying me
Cecil's always been one of my favorites and I adore his cheesy, oblivious dad energy, so it was especially fun to bounce that off of Squidina's begrudgingness in this episode (2/2)
In honor of Father's Day, here are some Cecil-centric plussing passes I did! These are for "TV or Not TV"--rough boarded by Casey Alexander and Trey Chavez, who both set such an incredibly funny foundation for us to work off of! (1/2)
Happy Father's Day! Celebrate Chuck Jones' directorial pinnacle for the occasion
Dunno if I'll be able to participate in #ToonJune this year, but I never skimp out on a chance to draw my favorite character
#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched I watch cartoons so obscure sometimes that they don't even show up on my "carousel" and I have to screenshot them like this
This is why you need to be reading Michel Barrier’s Hollywood Cartoons, folks
The backgrounds in this show are so spectacular. I just love the care and craft in the art direction and setting the tone and the atmosphere and auuuugh it's so inspiring! Good show
The voice direction is so good too, which is of course expected considering its cast
The sound design is really incredible in this show. I've long known this but for some reason it's been the most noticeable and joyous aspect of my on-a-whim rewatch. The trophy impact is SO LOUD and SO GOOD
The Camp Lazlo bug's been biting me again, prompting me to look through old art--in Joe Murray's book he said he wanted to make a beaten up sheep character as an answer to the gag where every time something is thrown off-screen, there's a sheep bleating sound, so I did it for him a few years ago lol
