Talarico got 1.2 million in March compared to Paxton’s 886,000 tops in either primary. Point is: a lot of Texas Republicans seem to not be voting in the primaries, or switching or something, compared to democratic voters.
What’s interesting is that Paxton didn’t get more votes yesterday than in the original primary in March. He won because other Republican voters stayed home. Meanwhile Paxton got far fewer votes, either time. than either Talarico or Crockett in their primary election results in March
