So not to get all legalese-y here, but on top of this being terrible it also puts trans issues (and to an extent LGBT issues writ large) under the rational basis of scrutiny in the law. Essentially, if a state wants to discriminate against LGBT people, legally it can't be struck down as easily.

I started reading this last year. After an assassination attempt goes horribly wrong and gayly right, Maggie follows burnt-out mage Jolene to her hometown. Thus begins a very cute coming-of-age story. Updates on Mondays.
The White Trees and its sequel The Whisper Queen are high fantasy for people who know what a spanreed is and been a couple of sex parties. It's a great time.
I have such a soft spot for this manga. It's fun, short and incredibly 1990's.
Far East Chimera. When monster-hunter Yuri gets a second chance at life after being killed by a powerful chimera monster. Hijinks ensue as she tries to find the truth behind her resurrection and the nature of the chimeras. 30ish chapters. Never came stateside, but wraps up well.
I will not shut up about this series. It's too good to not talk about. At no point did I know where this story was going and that is a very good thing for someone who's read shonen for half her life.
