Gen X Brit based in the USofA. Avatar by @Taraocomics.bsky.social (thank you Tara!) Banner is the target used by The Archers; I am nothing if not a product of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
This is my new Foster Fail, Spike. He’s a platinum blonde, blue-eyed, pretty boy who’s a wee bit bitey, so naturally I named him after a favourite vampire.
Gotta give it to Petal, the floral details are the clincher. With kind regards from Small Cat.
I haven’t taken photos in a gallery for quite some time, so I hope this stained glass window (just to the right of Rudolph Valentino’s crypt in Hollywood Forever Cemetery) will suit.
Post a logo, emblem, or title (with its original font) that remains as perfect today as when it was new.
For Gen X Brits, that would be Doctor Who meets The Adventure Game. Would watch.
I give you “hasty scribble on notepaper with entirely the wrong green.”
Thatcher also gave a marvelously unhinged performance in Werewolf By Night (2022), with perhaps the most “terrrrrrrible” Scottish accent committed to film. He’s awesome!
… Dreyer’s La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc (1928). It was extraordinary. Brutal. Immensely moving. If you’ve not seen it, add it to the list!
It’s ok, Chief Rankin hasn’t let the popularity of the fox kit footage go to his head!
Offering up one of my favourites, Her Night of Romance (1924) with Constance Talmadge.
The Stockpot, London, UK. There was one in Soho and one on Panton St, just off Leicester Sq. Cheap, hearty fare, perfect for impoverished students, out-of-work actors, and everyone else. I would have the fish & chips and the apple crumble with cream. 😋 Alas, long gone now.
Post a pic of the venue where you saw your first concert and the band or artist
I wanted to like your post, Gail - but it’s currently on 666 likes and that’s too perfect.
Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy but isn’t a selfie.
What book is sacred enough to be sworn in on? I’m going for a First Folio. 🎭
Bringing this one back for today’s anniversary and adding their resting place.
