Our Mya put to rest on Friday. She was almost 13. Cushing’s gave her an insatiable thirst. I went to fill her water dish today. She too was a good girl. We were so lucky to have her in our life. 🌈💔
We had a similar experience on Friday. I can’t imagine going through it again but I know I will. There’s nothing like the unconditional love dogs share with us. We are so lucky to have them. ❤️
Last night we had to put our doodle to rest. She was my daughter’s dog who carried us through the loss of my father. Funny how dogs fill spaces in our hearts but when they are gone we hurt all over again. We were so lucky to have her. 💔🌈🌘
This is my big brother. When I was 5 he carried me home with a compound fracture. My hero. I lost him to Covid in May of 2020.💔

This is my big brother. Covid took him in 2020. He was 58. When I cleaned out his house, I found an unopened package of masks. This was before they were recommending masks for the public. How I wish he would have had the chance to wear them. 💔
When I lost my brother, the local UAW helped me auction off his Java Chopper for charity. Gotta love the UAW

My big brother loved the Oregon coast. I’ve been feeling his presence a lot lately. Little things that remind me his energy is still with me. It’s been a difficult year for my family. I find myself looking at the night sky saying “I know that was you”. He still carries me through the rough surf. ❤️

Today I was scorned by a MAGA because I posted a picture of my daughter riding dressage. They assumed we are wealthy because dressage is expensive. What they didn’t know is my daughter is at the barn every day by 4 AM to clean stalls, groom feed & care for other people’s pets… to pay for her hobby.

It all started with 1 piece of driftwood I brought home from my brothers house after we lost him to Covid. His red hat still holds the angle spot. 💔
Today is my birthday and I finally figured out why it is hitting me hard. My brother was this age when Covid took him. His absence from my life still lingers but my heart also aches for everything he is missing. Gone way too soon.
