The conference concluded with closing remarks by Isabelle Vereecken, Head of the EDPB Secretariat, who addressed the audience with perspectives on data protection, the use of personal data by AI tools, the benefits and the risks when assessing candidates.

Participants tested a draft common #DPIA template in a hands-on workshop, discussed lessons from the 2024 #CEPOL data breach and reviewed the latest results from the EDPS Website Compliance Awareness Campaign.

Luis Velasco, Head of the Technology and Privacy Unit, announced that updated #AI risk management guidance will be published this summer and warned of the growing threat of cyberattacks targeting EU institutions and the risks to personal data.

Thomas Zerdick, Head of the Supervision and Enforcement Unit, introduced a follow-up tracker to strengthen continuity between meetings and presented updates on complaint-handling, #internationaltransfers, #DPIAs and recent case law.
