Upset to see a very elderly basset hound in rescue today. She's in good hands but this is my regular reminder: I don't care how young you are, sort a guardianship plan for your pets. They don't have to agree to keep them, just to be responsible. The shelters are overflowing. Pictures for boost.

Girl cats are chatty and bossy and have about 90% of the cat-world brain cells. This is the Honourable Miss Potchka, who ruled our home for 20 years. She's been gone a decade and I still miss her magnificent presence. Even as a kitten her aura was huge.
