2025 was a year where personally I went through loss of a beloved family member and I got to welcome in a new family member. In April our beloved Eddie passed away from heart failure. I grieved him every day. But in September we were able to welcome Yeon-ja in our family and home. She is so blessed.

I will recover from my loss, though I can’t say how soon. I will always be sure to cherish the memories I had with my little Eddie. Losing him that suddenly at only 10 years and seven months is kind of what’s killing me right now, but the wounds I’m sure will recover over time. Just can’t say when.
Losing a beloved pet like that is a huge emotional blow. I’m sure many of you who have a beloved dog and cat that’s passed recently can feel how I’m feeling. I’ve been trying to process the whole thing while grieving the loss of my dog who literally was a little fur child to me.
last Friday his symptoms reappeared, but my wife and I thought he would just make it through like he did before. But it was shortly before midnight last Friday when we found that Eddie had coughed up blood, was lying on his side and unresponsive. That’s when we realized he had died.
Eddie passed away last weekend from complications of congestive heart failure that resulted in him coughing, labored breathing, minimal appetite and energy. His symptoms over the last several months came and went. He’s been on medications for his conditions, but
