> Top 3 most iconic villains in video games (if not top 2) > second most important Sonic the Hedgehog character > incredibly iconic outside of gaming I refuse to accept anyone else as a character that is 'missing' from Smash
Excellent panel ...wait, where is the smoke coming from?
Ok I know it's suppose to be played as a joke, but it honestly does come off as a bit eerie
Ok, now THAT'S a brilliant bit of visual story-telling! Have the segment be mostly muted colours, almost black and white, but then have a BIG pop of colours when emotions reach their zenith!
I still feel like they haven't done an ideal job of establishing why this matters so much and why they need to end Demo's and Soldier's friendship so badly.
OK! Now this is my favourite use of their funky format! I mean look at the shadow!
The soldier part honestly just has so many good bits
I do also love how they're doing Pauling in this! The scenes earlier that show that she's nowhere near as heartless as the Administrator or Hale but she IS trying to! She knows the talk and everything It's that great story of a good-natured person trying to be a villain
I DO REALLY LIKE Demo's characterisation in these early comics. It's rather different from how aggressive and foul-mouthed he is in the game, but I can still see how he could become so foul and it's just the matter of what people he's at the given moment.
Damn, I cannot believe she grows to be the most likable character in the comic
Oh, is that Odin? Did the scotts worship the norse gods?
Ok I jest, but this is a hella good bit of composition. I love how you don't see the moment when Demoman takes the Eyelander in his hands It sells how irresistable it's suppose to be
Is there a name for the trope when a character goes on about how fancy and special something is, but then it just kind of looks... normal? (and it's not done as a joke)
Eye loss running in the family is still a brilliant bit
Anyway... now me onto Sco- oh wait, no, Mexico? Ok I guess were doing Mexico
