Belatedly, my May 2026 reading wrap-up. #booksky

5-star manga reads include volumes 2 and 3 of "We Swore to Meet in the Next Life, and That's When Things Got Weird" and volumes 1 through 4 of "When I Became A Commoner, They Broke Off Our Engagement." I gave volume 1 of "Killing Me!" 4 stars. It was a little repetitive but I thought it was a fun yuri manga. Unfortunately it was canceled after just one volume, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone high school romcom. I gave 3.25 stars to webtoon-turned-manhwa "Roses and Champagne" volume 1. The plot is boring and I regret purchasing several volumes of this one already. The only novel I completed this month was "The Caretaker" by Markus Kliewer. I hated it and gave it 2 stars. Slight bonus because it started out interestingly, but minus 3 stars for getting dumber as it went. At least it was a library borrow and I didn't spend money on it!

Clover has not had a very good day. She ate the tail off her toy mousie, so she got to go to the vet. 😫☘️ She got fluids to prevent constipation and an anti-nausea shot. Xrays were normal but we're keeping an eye on her. Right now she is moping a bit. Hopefully tomorrow she will be feeling better. 💔

Clover is such a beauty. Kittens grow up too fast. We've had her for six months already! Though she's now cat-shaped, she's still all about playtime. And food. Her greed knows no bounds. Food literally in someone else's mouth? Not anymore. 😹 I love her dearly. I can't even remember life without her.

We may get occults in #Paralives! I would love to have vampires and zombies! No complaints about other types, either!

Question: Is there any possibility that other playable species or creatures will be added to the game in the far, far away future? (Werewolves, robots, vampires, ghosts, plantParas, witches, mermaids, etc.) that would be awesome

Carina: Supernaturals are currently being considered for the future, only after we leave the Early Access period 🙂

Here are some pics of the groundhogs living under the deck. There are 3 babies and their mama, but every time I try to take pictures at least one baby hides.

I can't figure out how to take screenshots in #Paralives but here are my first Paras. I decided to recreate my Elder Scrolls character and her Skyrim husband, Vorstag. I thought it was cool you could have a face tattoo. It's close enough that I'm very happy with him.
