The Bank of Del Ray opened in July 1923, in temporary quarters in the Mt. Vernon Drugstore.
The bank later constructed a new building, which still stands, at 2018 Mount Vernon Avenue, as does the house of its first president, John R. Harding, at 2100 Mount Vernon Ave. The bank withstood a dramatic robbery by a gang of six armed men in May 1929, but later fell victim to an attack from within, when it was found that cashier Clay Brittle had embezzled more than half the bank's assets. The bank closed its doors on January 21 1930, and thereafter paid out about 43 cents on the dollar to depositors pending sale of the land.

We have a heavy duty air filter inside the house and it almost never registers anything. Here’s last night’s PM2.5 readings (read fully indoors after normal HVAC filtration) in Alexandria. PM1 spiked similarly.

PM2.5 particles detected moves from excellent just before 1am up to very polluted overnight. It’s back down in the good range by early morning hours but still detected.

Comment: I hope you realize that traffic will only get worse with these bike lanes. Cars will be blocked and dangerous e-bikes will be sharing the lanes, something the city of Alexandria did not evaluate in their rushed study! Do not support this corrupt city council agenda that will clog your streets too for only a couple of bikes vs the THOUSANDS of cars that travel down Braddock road every day. We shouldn't have to accommodate for LESS THAN 100 BIKERS DAILY in our already congested streets. #BikesSuck

Today I got to go tour the Fairfax county 911 dispatch center with Nova Families for Safe Streets and it was seriously the coolest thing ever.

Large call center covering 911, 311, police dispatch, VDOT, with a big central area where leaders can coordinate on major events.

Maybe some supporter at some point went over the line (let us know please!) I can't imagine it was evenly both sides. Especially drafting with AI, it's going to pull you to this 50-50 "I heard from both sides" place because that's what its training data does. That mischaracterizes reality I suspect
