Melusine the deer-thing (she'd tell you she's a unicorn lol)

working on Nikki's design. trying to get her shapes down

Bell doodles

Ribbit looks away.

Ribbit: ....This is nice.

Jax: What? No, this is lame.

Ribbit: Yeah... But misery loves company, right?

Jax looks at her.

Jax: ...Right.

Ribbit and Jax are seen in silhouette only. She leans against his shoulder.

Ribbit: ...You'll have to get up there eventually, you know.

The pair are now both leaning on each other. Jax looks tired.

Jax: ... Just a little while longer.

He closes his eyes. Ribbit looks away sadly. Resigned.

Ribbit: Okay...

Ribbit: Look... You don't have to go on stage just yet. We can do something else for now. But please, for once, TRUST me when I tell you--

Ribbit turns to him, half in shadow.

Ribbit: You don't want to stay in the dark forever.

Jax looks at her with big eyes, distressed.

Jax looks down at his hands, covers his face, and sighs.

He doesn't meet Ribbit's eyes.

Jax: You.... said there'd be alcohol?

The action settles down.

Ribbit: Alright, enough. I'm not doing this by myself. I brought us here so we could do something together. Isn't that what you want?

Jax looks at her, then quickly looks away, holding his shoulders. Ribbit seems concerned. She takes a deep breath and sighs, then steps down from the stage.

Ribbit shuffles through the seats and sits down next to Jax. The spotlight follows her. Jax glances at her, then looks away again.

Ribbit: Look... I was just messing around. But you really do look good, you know.

Jax glares at her, then holds his head, growling in frustration.

Jax: I just don't GET it! Why do you want me up there so badly? This place is totally EMPTY! It's like everyone is hiding or something...

He suddenly realizes something, and spins around, standing up to glare at her accusingly.

Jax: That's it, isn't it? They ARE hiding, aren't they? I bet this is all just some stupid prank!

He starts to spiral.

Jax: You'll get me to let my guard down, then the second I get up there, you'll pull the curtain and they all jump out and laugh!

Ribbit: No! It's not like that!

Jax (angry): Then what?

Ribbit: Also, I totally swiped Caine's hat when he wasn't looking. So it's MY Circus now.

Jax (sitting down): Wow. If I didn't know any better, I'd say YOU planned this adventure.... Is there anything ELSE you wanna confess to me, Ribs?

Ribbit throws their hat at him.

Ribbit: [Censored] Off!

Jax: Well! Is that any way to treat a lady?

Ribbit: It is if it's you. Now, are you gonna join me or what?

Jax: Hm. I have a better idea. Why don't you.... convince me?

Jax looks pleased with himself while Ribbit looks annoyed.

Ribbit: Oh! How about a monologue?

Little update on Tango's design. I thought it would be funny to give him the typical survival horror protagonist jacket because it overlaps nicely with 'shit one wears to the airport in January' lol
