Spun this, still needs wet finishing but here, I did this. New England Hurricane by Fossil Fibers.

On our way home we were back in NJ getting special chicken for my MiL. Literally a block away was a store called The Yarn Diva, so I walked over while Siobhan waited for chicken.

More yarn. You knew what this was. Also a project bag with cute goth girls.

Other side of the project bag because one of the goth girls is also a cat girl. Very important.

A day or two later we were bouncing between Delaware and PA and found this bookstore in an old cow barn that's been there since 1941? Wild stuff, absolutely fantastic. Just down the road is The Yarn Garden.

First stop was the Montclair Book Center in Montclair, NJ, an incredible book store. And right around the corner: Yarnia. They sort of specialized in this Parisian brand I hadn't seen before but I liked it and bought too much.

Something new on the wheel tonight. Merino/seacell in colors I lovingly call "eight year old's delight"

I've been spinning on this so much the past few days that my arm is starting to hurt. I'm looking at it as tour de fleece training.

Also I started a new spin.

Shiny handspun yarn on a wooden drop spindle and unspun fluff in pink, blue, white, and brown. The tag said "tourmaline" if that helps. It's like cotton candy with rocks in it. It's 50% tencel is why it's so shiny.

New spindle day! My order from @battyfibers.bsky.social came! I have a very. . .loose relationship to measurements. So I thought I understood from the pictures in the listing just how tiny this spindle is. I was wrong. It is so tiny. So cute. And I am thrilled with it.
