I'm receiving increasing amounts of scam emails from people who claim to be either book marketing experts, or famous authors who say they have read and loved my books. Three today already, including this one, allegedly from @andreamara.bsky.social: (it isn't, I'm not daft)

Email that says: Hi Emma,

I hope you are doing well.

I wanted to send you a quick note because Gin Fizz and Tonic really stood out to me. The way you captured Ginny's fresh start in Glasgow, mixing humor, heart, and the messy reality of getting sober while sparks fly with Liam felt so honest and relatable. I loved how her new events career and that blast from the past created such perfect tension and opportunity for growth.

What especially delighted me was the warm Scottish setting and the lively supporting cast. It made the whole story feel alive with personality and genuine emotion, blending laughs with those quieter moments of self discovery in a way that kept me fully invested.

Out of curiosity, what inspired you to explore sobriety as part of Ginny's second chance romance? Was that element always central or did it evolve as her character developed?

I write as well, so I always appreciate when a rom com feels both fun and emotionally grounded. You nailed that balance beautifully here.

#Caturday... my poor wee guy has been diagnosed with a tumour on his pancreas. We've decided against further treatment as a) it might not work, b) it's super stressful (our vet agrees), c) it's £3k plus. So, we're giving William his best life. Sleep, all his favourite food, loads of head rubs. Ach.
