Yes, the Dixiecrats gave us a bunch of these seats, many before Obama was the candidate, and they never ever will again. If we want to pass legislation, we cannot rely on historical swings like after Bush every time, that is just ceding Congress forever to the right.

I think a lot of this money can come from single payer, and indirectly laying off insurance adjusters, and a lot of it can come from negotiated medication prices, especially given we've subsidized the R&D already - but less popular, we've gotta break the physician cartel, and indirectly cut wages.

Like I guess this kind of messaging is effective, it gets repeated for a reason, but it always makes me bristle. That is right vs left. Everything is always, will always be right vs left.
