I'm at the MN Secretary of State Business Services office... enjoying that the loon from the new state seal is helping answer FAQs about business filings.
I'm not sure how I managed to get in with the first scrobble, but I'll take it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp-H...
Beginning in 2027, the Twin Cities Marathon will be held mid-October instead of the first Sunday in October, due in-part to higher temps and humidity. 45754204.hs-sites.com/the-connecti...
I was unaware that FIFA & World Cup had any integrity in the first place.
The Mpls Fed has repeatedly posted this article, never once acknowledging that maybe, just maybe, they should collect the perspectives of people who are NOT landlords & owners. "CoMmUNitY EnGagEMenT" 🤪 Also, believe it or not, rent stabilization & zoning are not the only housing policy changes.
Ari, a friend of my daughter has been missing since Monday. Please amplify.
Yesterday I made friends with a danger noodle on a long trail run through St. Croix State Park. Beautiful morning to explore and a great weekend overall for camping.
This guy was happy for the cooler running weather, but still couldn't pass up an opportunity to take a dip.
Damn, no Minnesota dates. Certainly seemed like their Nov '25 Amsterdam Bar show sold out, so fingers crossed they add one. Otherwise, planning a trip in September!
This part in the lede seems like the Strib's attempt to dismiss it as an everyday political dispute. More appropriate would be to point out absence of any public statement from any elected official who attended their convention condemning the moment of silence. www.startribune.com/moment-of-si...
Hersh decided we should go trail running this morning, so now I have a new avatar!
So you'll support the Manufactured Home Bill of Rights that failed to advance at the Minnesota Legislature this session, correct? What did you do to advocate for it during session? www.startribune.com/what-did-and...
Pretty hot day for the Pound the Mound 20 mile trail race. Last year when I did the 30 mile, it was in the low 40's at the start. Bison came to visit at the finish.
Kids & I toured the Minneapolis Traffic Management Center on Saturday—it was fantastic & very informative. But the Metro Transit garage resulted in the best photo from the weekend. Had me considering a career change for a moment.
I don't recall this guy being relevant for the past 20 years. So it's not surprising he has suddenly popped up in support of Klobuchar.
Frey's SotC speech: www.minneapolismn.gov/government/m... Housing section is almost entirely about development, but he states goal is for people to "stay in our city." Relevant tenant protections: just cause protections, meaningful rent stabilization & enforcement, eviction diversion programs, etc.
Ran the Big Sur International Marathon today in 3:14:12. Might be most beautiful road race I've ever run. Made the 1,600+ feet in ascent easier 🙃. Amplified piano playing The Beatles echoes throughout the area while crossing the Bixby Bridge. Awesome. Results: results.svetiming.com/Big-Sur/even...
When the snow isn't deep enough to cause an inconvenience for pedestrians when left unshoveled, some folks in North Minneapolis get creative.
In other, better news: today I am 1,400 days sober and also for some dumb reason have a 1,400-day run streak. smashrun.com/erichauge
Lastly, MN Multi Housing Assoc. doesn't represent all landlords, just their paying members & vendors. Guess what? Mutual aid has been paying their members rents. Meanwhile, Strib gathers no comments/reactions from anyone involved in mutual aid? That is reason evictions are not skyrocketing! 6/6🧵
To be very clear, here are the CMs who tanked Pause Evictions, Save Lives. Forgive my lack of highlighting skills. lims.minneapolismn.gov/File/2026-00...
