My daughter Keanna died of cancer 13 years ago at the age of 15. She was diagnosed 5 years earlier and as a physician I was dismayed at how futile our efforts were to cure metastatic cancer not just for my daughter but for most adults as well. I empathize with everyone wanting better chances for their loved ones. At the same time I am dismayed that most people who read this article and comment are only interested in finding more reasons to criticize Trump. If you care so much, then donate your money to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and keep your ugly politics out of it.
