Decent (an ssb client I started working on nearly a decade ago) with a git-ssb forge: decent.evbogue.com#git/%25zTKny...
Bringing Decent + git-ssb back from the dead with AGI (a ghost intelligence)
Imagine if the animation looked like this! The Appview wouldn't stand a chance.
The new Bluesky composer is hot. I'm ripping this to wd in the morning for sure.
Since this is trendy I got my own Doom Coding setup going with termux, tmux, mosh over yggdrasil to codex running on my home laptop.
Redesigned the Decent composer as a modal. Try it decent.evbogue.com If I use AI am I always supposed to say "thank you GPT5.2 and Codex" or at some point do I just say I did it?
So nearly a decade ago I forked ssb (secure-scuttlebot) and made a client called "Decent" with Bootstrap 2. Now, with a lot of help from AI, and one afternoon, you too can experience the magic. Ships w/ ssbc by default. Repo: tangled.org/evbogue.com/... Lite client: decent.evbogue.com
Wiredove has edits since like 4 days ago. In case anyone missed that.
btw this is really annoying and should have an override button or not even be a blocked post for me. I do not block this person. cc @pfrazee.com @alexbenzer.com i had to use a third party viewer to know what the thread was about. trolls are obviously using this feature to silence discussions
this again illustrates to me why Bluesky fails during a sensible conversation. I did not block this poster, why are they blocked for me? and now I only have a memory of what they said? I have a high tolerance for discourse. This moderation strategy won't survive 2028.
is this what feeling the agi (a ghost intelligence) is like? I got an almost full anproto reactive-native client going this evening. well, it's almost 2am. thx ai? code not public yet, it's slop.
I made many little improvements to the wiredove.net UX -- some LLM-assisted. Check out the commits at tangled.org/evbogue.com/...
This is cool! and reminds me how many great communicators and developers are on atproto. My most liked post this year was offering to work at Bluesky to implement edits. Should I apply for the 3rd time?
ANProto on ATProto is live. I've always wanted to demonstrate that the authenticated non-networked protocol can run over the authenticated transfer protocol so here it is: anonat.anproto.com thanks to @j4ck.xyz for the 0auth demo server. Repo: tangled.org/evbogue.com/...
Some progress on ANProto over ATProto. Soon you will be able to centralized your an posts on one pds! Or use this in conjunction with other networking strategies such as Websockets and Trystero.
I used this to prototype a program that puts anproto.com messages on atproto. Thx @j4ck.xyz!
I asked AI to try and recreate @pfrazee.com's first (?) stab at a client for @dominictarr.bsky.social's secure-scuttlebot and this is what I got. I will admit the hexagons took a lot of human-in-the-loop to get right. This is a non-working web page, but does anyone want to see it in action?
ssbd (secure-scuttlebot deno) is live on github. it seems to work. if it doesn't i blame chat.
This is SSBD (securescuttlebot-deno). Yes, more vibe coding. This uses a REST-bridge to download node ssb posts and load them into a SSB-Deno PDS that runs on the server and the client. Want to try it?
