yea! i wish i got a video of them making noises, it was rare and only happened sometimes. i commissioned someone to make a whole terrarium for them. they were nocturnal and only came out at night. i still have the terrarium to this day, its pretty worn down and only houses isopods/springtails now
the biggest test for me was unlearning my fear of wasps. i was attacked when i was kid - likely yellowjackets - cuz i stepped on a nest by accident at a playground they are only defensive bc we are so cruel. i have seen a wasp behave so sweetly when i give them water/honey & treat them with decency
i have this OC literally named tragedy that would be perfect for artfight but idk if i should reclaim him or raffle him off. will at least draw him once myself >_< (art by sproutmoles on toyhouse)

cw bug ; i was pressing some cherry blossoms i found fallen in the grass in rochester, MN, when i saw these springtails feasting on them. they are pinkish orange in color. anyone got an ID for these? im not sure if they are common and just changed color from the cherry blossoms? #bugid #springtail
