I found my first Prairie crocuses of the year today. There was a chilly wind when I started out but it didn't last long. Excellent 3-km wander 🙂

Spring arrived suddenly yesterday, after two 17-degree days - there are now buds everywhere around the property. It was my first big gardening day of the season.
Getting my Spring earthing/grounding off to a nice start with 3 km barefoot along the Yukon River this afternoon. Even a bit of soft mud - ahhh! ❤ and 😃
Today is World Naked Gardening Day, but this was my garden work yesterday - digging enough snow to get the moose-protection tents off some of the shrubs - so my celebration today might be quite limited 🙁

What a day - that snow is 30 inches deep. After digging thousands of pounds of snow off the roof of the firewood shelter to prevent it from collapsing (a bad bend in the main beams!), I was digging 80 feet to a tree to install a boreal owl nestbox. I was out in the sun all day today - glorious!
Orca at Dyea, Alaska, in May 2019. After I posted a few photos online, the guy who owned the boat contacted me. Nobody on the boat had a camera! I sent him a few photos from this encounter which involved the male seen here, a smaller male, a female and her calf, and lasted about 5 minutes in total.
