RED DWARF: BACK TO EARTH (2009) Well hello, after 10 years, the series returns, sets the canon back to a more fun status quo, and does some fun exploration in meta levels. I really liked it! It can deliver, and I hope this level of humor continues!

RED DWARF VIII (1999) Definitely the weakest of the bunch, scrombling some canons around, and doing some decisions that are really not the most fun - especially in character writing and development arcs. I can see how this ended in a cliffhanger with a 10 year hiatus. On to the next one!

I GOT REINCARNATED INTO A (BL) WORLD OF BIG MAN BOOBS (2024) The second German omnibus is here, and I had a blast with it! It both makes fun of BL tropes and culture, while also celebrating them, in one coherent story with some really likeable characters! I recommend it! :D

FISH & WATER (2026) The new Gengoroh Tagame work, and I really loved this one! A soft and kind slice of life cooking romance between two friends, during the Covid Pandemic. I love how calm and sensitive it approaches its characters and romance, and delivers something very sweet and true :3

I don't want to spoil anyone, but for myself, Deltarune Chapter 5 touches on a same theme that Expedition 33 does. And I felt a way more emotional impact in Deltarune, like a proper "...oh", while in E33, it didn't feel as tough of a choice and introspection for myself.

DELTARUNE: CHAPTER 5 (2026) I had an amazing time, I loved the themes and the character development reveal, as well as the super polished gameplay. Music is an absolute BANGER, I will definitely listen to these tracks for a long time to come. Wonderfully done, will patiently wait for the next one :3

KIR ROYAL (1986) Oh hey, wir können doch deutsches Fernsehen! Sehr schöne Miniserie über die Münchener High Society, gute Abrechnung mit Bayern an sich, und ich hätte locker noch ein paar Folgen vertragen können. Ein sehr poetisches Ende, bänger Leitmotif, und wirklich lustig, kann ich empfehlen!

JIRO TANIGUCHI - THE KEYAKI TREE (1993) Eight short stories by the master himself and I was tackled by emotion, he really is one of the best. Each story wraps up wonderfully, with some many interesting topics and dynamics to explore. Do yourself a favour and read this one, excellent work.

Together with "Iron Lung" and "Amazing Digital Circus", this is the third movie I have seen this year with Youtube roots. I am here for it and happy that these are doing well! And I think out of the three, I liked this one the best personally! The designs and themes are immaculate, well done! :D

SHITASAKI KARA KOI (2022) The first Cakeverse work I checked out, and this is good! I could have wished for more of a story per se, but the characters, themes and overall romance progression keep it going. Also, we love the communication the two mains have, more of this!

MONSTER AND GHOST (2022-) [Vol.1 - 3] Was drawn to it by the art, and it delivers on characters and story even more! A tough delinquent and a prettyboy ghost meet, and a gentle relationship forms. Both learn from each other and support the other, really heartwarming! I look forward to more!

STIGMATA (2021) [DROPPED] This one really didn't catch me, and it was heralded as one of the modern unique BL. It doesn't deliver the emotions for me, and I wasn't aware how weirded out I am by the style choice that not a single person opens their mouth while talking. It irks me!

MADK (2018) Gigantic trigger warnings one should check before reading, for one of the toughest modern eroguro horror BL around - but wow, what an aesthetic. Demons in hell with their own society/rules, and it actually delivers on an intriguing plot and unique characters. Happy to finally finish it.

MISHIMA: A LIFE IN FOUR CHAPTERS (1985) Stellar biopic that reflects Mishima's last day and his "incident" of trying to take over an army base - and failing while doing so - interspersed with theatre pieces of his novels. With design by the immaculate Eiko Ishioka, I am left in awe at its beauty.

NOKAS (2010) Long time that I rewatched this, and yes, really good! A thriller recreation of the biggest bank robbery in Norway's history, with a tight script and a relentless drive. I picked up the DVD when I was in Stavanger, and it is great to revisit.
