i think the style would fit my boy nesol really well! if you can't/don't want to do animal features you don't have to add them (it's just preferred if you do)
the one poster they more recently put up for sale does show them hanging out together on the other side of an exit door, which i thought implied that they do exist (screenshot taken from a video they put up cause i couldn't find a good image of it)
imo the pit being called "shrimp town" is less likely because i envisioned "shrimp town" being an equivalent of an afterlife, where they actually live together, like what you see in the limited edition poster pictured here
