Gay trouble, personified. Executive Director of Queer Momentum. Fighting for freedom, equality and rights for 🏳️🌈 people in 🇨🇦 (and beyond). Love solidarity, unions, feminism & my community.
I no longer know what day it is, or what time zone my brain is on, but that's okay because: everywhere we go, we are building the movement, connecting with leaders and injecting joy into our queer eco system! For those in SK, you can rsvp for our upcoming events here: linktr.ee/queermomentu...
We wrapped up the BC leg of the Trans Canada Tour on Saturday, after tour stops in Kelowna, Kamloops and Vancouver. After BC, I hopped on a plane and headed back east to celebrate Pride in Moncton, NB, where I was honored to speak at and lead their trans march (despite pouring rain!).
I'm doing pretty good at this whole ~growing up~ thing. Turned 31 a couple days ago and excited for what the next year has in store for little old me ✨️
If we had let Amy Hamm into our event, she would have taken our words out of context and used them to further malign the trans movement. At least this way, we were able to have a real convo with people genuinely interest in discussion. We had a great event.
Vancouver! The Trans Canada Tour is headed your way on August 1st! Join us for an afternoon of sickening drag, comedy and queer politics 🔥✨️ Tickets: www.eventbrite.ca/e/1988871299...
What an incredible show in Edmonton last night 🔥 big love to MLA @janisirwin.bsky.social and MLA Brooks Arcand Paul for joining @karlamarx1917.bsky.social and I to build this movement 🔥🔥❤️
Politics with a Drag Queen is coming to TORONTO next week! Trust me when I say this is a show you don't want to miss. @karlamarx1917.bsky.social x Selena Vyle x Anne Alien + me!! Tickets are $10. Grab yours before we run out! www.eventbrite.ca/e/politics-w...

“Canada’s going to have to decide,” Johnstone said in an interview from Halifax on Sunday. “Are we going to be a bastion of human rights, a free society that welcomes dialogue and protects minorities? Or, are we gonna go the Trumpian route?” www.cp24.com/news/canada/...
Headed home (briefly 😅) after a phenomenal few days in Winnipeg at the @canadianlabour.bsky.social convention. Honored to have hosted the CLC Women's Forum on Tuesday night ✊🏻🔥✨️ And forever grateful to Canada's workers movement for their support of trans people in these tough times.
We are hosting Ask a Trans Person Anything events across Canada. Why? Because we are being lied about, Canadians have questions about the ~trans agenda~ and we have answers!!! See you there? www.transcanadatour.ca/asktrans
Danielle Smith's Alberta, per @pointblankca.bsky.social's Cards Against Humanity 🏳️⚧️🙃🫡
To my trans community: thank you. You inspire me every day. You make this world a better place. You taught me how to love myself. You have unlocked in me a dream of a world where ✨️everyone✨️ is freed from puritanical gender norms, from patriarchy and heteronormativity. Thank you. I love you.
While the Premier couldn't be bothered to listen, @naheednenshi.bsky.social took the time to come and speak with each of these parents.
These parents shared stories that would break your heart. Stories of their kids' deteriorating mental health. Of self harm. Of hopelessness. Premier Danielle Smith is to blame for their kids' pain.
Today, a group of Albertan parents of trans youth went to the Legislature to demand a meeting with Premier Danielle Smith. She didn't just refuse to meet. She refused to acknowledge the request. She made their families suffer, and refuses to hear their stories.
If you know me, you know I love writing in queer media. That's why I am proud to share my first piece in Wayves Magazine - Atlantic Canada's home for queer news and commentary - for Trans Day of Visibility. Read the full piece at www.Wayves.ca

Ottawa Trans March is happening on August 22nd at 6pm! I'll see you there!!!
Elect Women, Oust Bigots! Very cool to have met Premier Susan Holt of New Brunswick today. Shared my gratitude for her support of trans youth and their families, and spoke with her team about opportunities for further action and leadership on 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ issues!
The Manitoba legislature has passed Bill 43, adding gender expression to the provincial human rights code. In this doom and gloom climate, it's important to mark victories like this, to remember that despite the rise of the far right, we can still organize and win for 🏳️🌈 people.
The Canadian Medical Association has filed a legal challenge against the Government of Alberta to protect the rights of patients and uphold the integrity of our healthcare system. Parents, youth and physicians know best - not power hungry politicians.
